PROVIDING A SUPPORTIVE SPACE FOR WOMEN TO BE EMPOWERED AND HEAL FROM ANXIETY THROUGH THERAPY

“The mind can’t hear until the body feels safe.”
Erika T. Kendrick, LPC
Montclair, NJ and St. Petersburg, FL Anxiety & Brainspotting Therapist
Hi. I’m Erika T. Kendrick, LPC. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, with 25+ years of experience in the mental health field and 13+ years in private practice, I empower female Millennial Women and Gen-Xers who are struggling with anxiety that’s impacting how they connect and form relationships with themselves and others. These women are motivated but unsure how to regulate their emotions so that they no longer have to live in a constant state of fear and panic. While my practice extends a warm welcome to all, I hold a particular passion for serving Women of Color. My vision for you is for you to embrace your worth, overcome the things that “bother you”, and operate at your full potential.
I enjoy taking a holistic approach to treatment, taking into account both the mind and the body. Nothing can be heard in the mind until it feels safe in the body. Our bodies are so intricately designed that we have the innate ability to self heal. I aim to assist you in tapping into that ability by using not only the mind (thoughts) but your body (emotions) in order to release the fear and anxiety that’s plaguing your life.

Do you accept insurance?
At this time, Erika T. Kendrick accepts the following:
NJ residents: Aetna, Lyra EAP, and Modern Health EAP.
DE, FL, SC residents: Lyra EAP, and Modern Health EAP.
Can I get reimbursed for my sessions if I pay out of pocket?
If your plan has out of network benefits, you will qualify for reimbursement based on your out of network rate. Most insurance plans with out-of-network benefits will reimburse you 60-90% of my fee after the deductible is met. I will provide you with a Superbill after each session and provide information as to how to request reimbursement. Please note that I make no guarantees about the level of reimbursement from your insurance company, and clients are responsible for being informed about all the details of their insurance plan.
What are your rates?
My clients start off in therapy on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on the treatment need and goal(s). Clients who have met their goals and would like to maintain positive gains tend to move to a monthly basis.
A standard 45-50 minute session is billed at $170. A 90 minute session is billed at $250. I accept all major credit cards, FSA, & HSA. Payment is due at the time of service and all clients are required to maintain an active method of payment on file.
If I'm unable to afford therapy, do you offer a sliding scale?
Although I do not offer a sliding scale, I do accept vouchers and scholarships from organizations that provide financial assistance towards therapy sessions. Clients are to inquire through the respective program and identify Erika T. Kendrick, LPC as their chosen provider.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
-
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
-
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
-
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
-
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
